Come join us as we collectively seek healing through the Quran.
We invite you to a 24-hour recitation of the entire Quran with female reciters from around the world, in dedication to those souls who have passed, those who are sick, and as a comfort to our hearts.

Starting on Thursday 1st February 2024 at 6pm GMT and ending on Friday 2nd February 2024 at 8:30pm GMT, we hope to create a space to recognise grief, create an opportunity for deep healing, to revive hearts through the words and sounds of the Quran and, to bring about tranquility in our homes.
​
Various female reciters from across the world will lead recitation one Juz at a time and we invite you to join us, be it in recitation, or to follow with the translation, or to simply listen and be present with the Majestic words of our Lord.

“It is a guide and a healing to the believers..” (41:44)

“And We send down of the Quran that which is a healing and a mercy to those who believe…” (17:82)
We will end the circle with a dua.

Ladies of Light:
A Quran Healing Circle
In 2021 we launched our first-ever annual Online Quran Healing Circle, a space that was formed in response to the need for collective healing. A space where we heal our hearts with the Quran, nourish our souls, and bring the Quran into our homes. A space for us to collectively reconnect with the Quran.
It was a non-stop 24 hour Quran recitation. Each Juz was recited by a different female reciter, allowing us to internationally connect with the many different female reciters from around the world.

This year we will be embarking on the journey again for the fourth year running, and we are currently looking for female reciters who would like to get involved.
​
If you would like to recite for our 2024 annual Quran Healing Circle, then please do get in contact by filling in the form below.
We are looking for female reciters that would like to contribute and be part of this baraka filled gathering.

You will have to be available for at least one hour between Thursday 1st February 6pm (GMT) to Friday 2nd February 8:30pm (GMT)- please convert times into your local time zone.

You must be able to recite fluently with tajweed.

You must be comfortable reciting live on camera (this will be a ladies-only event).

You must have a good and stable internet connection.

You must be 16 years and over.

Your recitation will not be shared publicly and will only be listened to by the all-female Ladies of Light team. Please note that we have limited spaces available.
Applications will close on Monday 27th November 2023. Those that have been selected will be informed by Monday 11th December 2023
Volunteers needed
We are looking for volunteers who are able to support and help with admin tasks during the 24-hour Ladies of Light Quran Healing Circle 2024 which will take place on the 1st and 2nd February 2024 inshaAllah
We welcome ladies from all countries and time zones.

You must be reliable, committed, organised and ideally familiar with the Zoom platform.

Good communication skills.

You must commit to attend at least two online training meetings before the day of the event. These training sessions will be 2 hours and will take place between Monday 8th January to Sunday 26th January

You must have access to zoom and a laptop/computer (Phones/tablets are not suitable for this role)

You must be available on either Thursday 1st February and/or Friday 2nd February

Ideally good and reliable internet connection.

I loved that it was from the comfort of my own home and to discover all different kinds of recitation style from different countries
So blessed that I was able to witness being in a group reciting Allah's word continuously until completion even if I couldn't stay connect the entire time, I still felt connected.
