Meet our facilitators
Rabiah Mali
Rabiah is a qualified Medical Herbalist, Hijama therapist, Auricular acupuncturist, and Creative and Community Healer. She set up The Herbal Blessing clinic in 2015, a sliding scale community clinic with the intentions of 'reconnecting' the community with their inner herbalist. Offering consultations, workshops, retreats and walks, and holistic therapy that is rooted in traditional and spiritual plant-based healing. Her work involves the use of nature and local plant-based knowledge to nourish a feeling of home in communities where poverty, poor health access, and gentrification has fractured the sense of belonging.
She is the founder of the Green Deen Tribe, which responds to the need to heal the wounds of separation and lack of access to nature by Muslim Women, which is all too often rooted in colonisation, racism, other socioeconomic factors, and racialised Islamophobia.
In 2020, she founded the Black Muslim Women Healing Collective, an intentional space of collective healing and mental health support from the racialised and gendered harm experienced by many Muslim Women from the Black African Diaspora.
She is currently completing her diploma in Islamic Counselling.
Mariam- Amal
Mariam is a qualified occupational therapist massage and Mizan therapist. She is a mother of three who also regularly teaches Quranic Recitation. Her journey which began with massage taken her to study and explore various alternative therapies such as thai foot massage, fire cupping and moxibustion as well as studying yoga. Her passion is to help herself and other women engage and learn to love and understand their bodies both physically, mentally and spiritually
